Mycorrhaphium Adjustum
In mid-March country singer Blake Shelton was on a hike and found a Lions Mane mushroom which he fried and ate. Do not try this at home unless you know what you’re doing. Mycorrhaphium Adjustum can be found in summer and fall on the sticks and small logs of hardwoods in eastern North America, and is easily recognized by the teeth on its underside, the pale cap with a blackish margin, and the gray to black bruising reactions of the cap and underside. The most common questions that come up with this mushroom is: “Is Mycorrhaphium Adjustum safe?” and “Is Mycorrhaphium Adjustum edible?” The answer to both is no.
