Cattle in a field on the Coal Creek Farm

Homegrown Bulls

I love this time of year. Flowers are popping up everywhere, and our cattle seem to love the Spring weather, too. Our calves look fat and happy as they explore slightly further from their mother’s side. It makes me smile to watch them run, jumping high in the air as they go charging down the field. We have been breeding our cattle with the long-term goal of creating the perfect bull for the Plateau. I’m confident that we are on the right track, and a few of this year’s baby calves will strengthen the genetic lines of our herd.
